This small recorder does a great job. It is easy to operate,
and picks up conversations with good clarity. It's great for
taking notes or recording conversations on speakerphone. It has
four folders to store recordings in. I use #4 for personal
stuff. While advancing through the folders the unit beeps once
for folder 1, twice for folder 2 etc. The controls are easy to
memorize and work without looking at unit. The battery seems to
last quite a while. The battery level indicator on mine just
came off of full after 6 weeks of occasional use. Nice
product.

By Michael Allen
I purchased this unit for one purpose; to have an extremely
small device to record ideas while in the car, in my office,
out for a walk, or wherever. The unit is small enough to
comfortably put in any pocket. Considering its size and price,
its features and sound quality are very good(in XHQ mode). If
you are looking for something with additional options, Olympus
has many upper end units to choose. I also use an Olympus
DS-4000; a superior unit costing, street price, about ten times
more. To be critical of this unit considering price and size
just doesn't make any sense...you get what you pay for. For the
ability to record a quick memo (in one of four memo folders),
play it back at three different speeds, pause the memo (in both
record and playback modes) and to later download the memos
(very easy to do) from the recorder to your computer, that
measures 4L" x 1.57W" x .77D", weighs 2.22 oz, and costing
about $45-$55 USD, I recommend this unit.
