The verizon LG 3200x. I think it's discontinued for that very reason though. Making your own ringtones is bad for Verizon's profits..

I got a new phone when I renewed my contract, and I kept the LG for the ringtones.

Any phone that will allow full ring tones (sometime called "real-tones" or "hi-fi tones", but basically any phone that plays a song with the voice) will work. You can record an MP3 of whatever you'd like to say (there is a recording program in windows xp) and converted it to the format suitable to your phone using free software like "ring tone chop shop" (you can search it at http://www.download.com)

If that sounds like too much any phone running windows mobile will allow you to create a recording and instantly set it as your ring tone.

I used to have A Sprint phone that had voice ring.It would say "call from ****".So anyway I know that carrier has it.

well, phone are not actually meant for voice recording so i think most phones dun really have good voice recording features. so if u want to recording things like a pro, get a voice recorder thingy.. =)

I've been pondering the same thing. There's speculation of an update for this sometime early next year, and yes, it would be possible to enable this via update.

RecordForAll - http://www.recordforall.com was voted the best audio software for 2007
Give RecordForAll a try you can overlay tracks and add effects.

Audacity is excellent but you will need to download the lame encoder in order to export to mp3; I prefer Wavepad because it is much easier to use

click on “download wavepad” for the free version; if prompted to download additional software during installation, DON’T as it isn’t free. Just install wavepad
Go to open file to load your wav file; it has a ton of features which you will find under EDIT or EFFECTS. When you are satisfied, go to File>Save File As and select mp3 from the menu.

Hi,

Audacity is probably the best software for your needs.

It is free to download, easy to use and yet has a lot of functionalities like editing wav and mp3 files.

In the past I also used Cool Edit for noise reduction, but I would advise you to try Audacity first.
