The Curve 8320 from T-Mobile doesn't come with out-of-the-box video recording, as it is shipped with the 4.2.2 operating system. The Pearl 8120 does come with out-of-the-box video recording as it is running the 4.3.0 operating system. The Curve 8330 models (for Alltel, Verizon and Sprint) come with video recording as well. If your friend did get a Curve, ask her to check and see what operating system she is running on her BlackBerry.
